This training is aimed at those people, whom need to have an awareness of the various activities under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act (or the Scottish equivalent, RIPSA), whether from the private sector or a public sector organisation seeking to be RIPA compliant.

For example:
When should an authorisation be sought for the use of a CCTV system?
When does online research become surveillance?
When does a person need to be classed as a Covert Human Intelligence Source (CHIS)?
When does surveillance become intrusive surveillance?

All of these questions and many more will be answered through this training.

We can tailor our training to offer you a course that is either ½ day or one-day in duration dependent upon your needs.

The aim of this training is to enable delegates to appreciate covert CHIS and/or surveillance activity in line with current legislation and policy.

This course is aimed at anyone who is required to have an understanding of the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000, including, Directed Surveillance and/or Covert Human Intelligence Sources (CHIS), such as investigators, CCTV staff, etc. Each of our RIPA (& RIPSA) courses can be tailored to your specific requirements.

"The trainer was engaging and his knowledge was excellent. I really liked that the trainer used scenarios to discuss real issues that we face at work."
